Setting up your email in Windows Live Mail

Open Windows Live Mail.

Click Tools from the top menu. (1.1)

Select Accounts.

Under Mail, select the email account you wish to modify. (1.2)

Click the Properties button to the right.

In the General Tab, enter the following settings: (2.1)



Name:
The name you wish to appear to your recipients

Organization (optional):
The organization name you wish to appear to your recipients

Email Address:
userName@yourDomain.com

Reply Address:
The reply address you wish to appear to your recipients

In the Servers Tab, enter the following settings: (3.1)



My incoming mail server is:
POP3

Incoming Mail Server (POP3):
yourDomain.com

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):
yourDomain.com

Prefixes such as "mail." or "pop." should NOT be included in your settings.

E-Mail User Name:
userName@yourDomain.com

Password:
Your Email Password

Select "Log on using authenticated POP (APOP)."

Beneath "Outgoing Mail Server", check the box next to "My server requires authentication."

Click the Settings... button to the right.

Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server". (3.2)

Click OK.

In the Advanced Tab, enter the following settings: (4.1)



Outgoing mail (SMTP):
25

Incoming mail (POP3):
110

Do NOT check the boxes next to "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)".

Click Apply.

Click OK.

Check your Mail!
