Setting up your email on the Apple iPhone

From the Home screen choose Settings (1.1).

Select Settings from the Home Menu Screen.

Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars (1.2).

Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Select Add Account (1.3).

Select Add Account.

Select Other and enter the following information: (2.1)

Name:
The name you wish to appear to your recipients

Email Address:
userName@yourDomain.com

Password:
Your Email Password

Description:
A unique name to differentiate accounts (will only be seen by you)

Click Save.

Enter the following settings under New Account.

Select the POP tab. (2.2)

Select the Pop tab.

Enter the Incoming Mail Server Settings: (3.1)

Host Name:
yourDomain.com

User Name:
userName@yourDomain.com

Password:
(will be auto-populated)

Enter the following settings for Incoming Server.

Enter the Outgoing Mail Server Settings: (3.2)

Host Name:
yourDomain.com

User Name:
userName@yourDomain.com

Password:
Your Email Password

If you experience trouble only when sending mail,
please try the Cingular SMTP settings provided below.


Former AT&T Wireless customers:
smtp.mymmode.com

User Name:
[your mode user name]

Password:
[your mode password]

New and existing Cingular Wireless customers:
cwmx.com

User Name:
[leave blank]

Password:
[leave blank]

Enter the following settings for Outgoing Server.

A message will appear on your screen: (4.1)

Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?

Click NO.

The message will appear again.

Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?

Click NO.

Select NO when the Cannot Connect warning pops up.

A new message will appear on your screen: (4.2)

This account may not be able to send or receive emails. Are you sure you want to save?

Click SAVE.

Select Save when warning menu pops up.

Click the newly created account. (5.1)

Select the Account that you have just created.

Scroll down and click the Advanced button. (5.2)

Scroll down and select Advanced.

Enter these settings: (5.3)

Use SSL:
OFF

Authentication:
Password

Go back to your main iPhone menu.

Click the Mail icon.

Check your mail!

Set Use SSL to OFF and set authentication to password.
