Setting up your email on the Apple iPad

From the Home Screen, tap the Settings icon. (1.1)

From the "Settings" menu, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars. (1.2)

Tap Add Account.

Tap Other. (1.3)

Tap Add Mail Account. (1.4)

Enter the following information: (2.1)



Name:
The name you wish to appear to your recipients

Address:
userName@yourDomain.com

Password:
Your Email Password

Description:
A unique name to differentiate accounts (will only be seen by you)

Tap Next.

Tap the POP tab. (2.2)

Enter the Incoming Mail Server Settings: (3.1)



Host Name:
yourDomain.com

Prefixes such as "mail." or "pop." should NOT be included in your settings.

User Name:
userName@yourDomain.com

Password:
(will be auto-populated)

Enter the Outgoing Mail Server Settings: (3.2)



Host Name:
yourDomain.com

Prefixes such as "mail." or "pop." should NOT be included in your settings.

User Name:
userName@yourDomain.com

Password:
Your Email Password

Tap Save.

A message will appear on your screen: (4.1)



Cannot Verify Server Identity. Preferences can't verify the identity of "yourDomain.com". Would you like to continue anyway?

Tap Continue.

Another message will appear:

Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?

Tap No.

Tap Next.

A new message will appear on your screen: (4.2)



This account may not be able to send or receive emails. Are you sure you want to save?

Tap Save.

Tap the newly created account. (5.1)

Scroll down and tap Advanced. (5.2)

Enter the following settings: (5.3)



Use SSL:
OFF

Authentication:
Password

Server Port:
25 or 587

Go back to your main iPad menu.

Tap the Mail icon.

Check your mail!
