The Belmont High School Music Department is regarded as one of the finest in New England. Approximately 150 students participate in the band program, including Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and Marching Band members. These students are among the most talented in the community, and their high level of performance reflects their level of effort and dedication.

Marching Band is the most visual element of our band program. Because of the competitive nature of this group, extra rehearsals, performances, and trips are involved with this program during the marching season. Marching Band begins in July with band camp and continues throughout the fall semester, usually ending in late October or early November. Students in grades 8-12 may participate in this ensemble.
